Describing the function of objects and categorizing are the goals of this new book. Students are asked a question at the top of each sentence page: “Where did I sit?” Students search for pictures of 3 different objects that they can sit on and attach them to the appropriate squares: “I sat on a couch.” “I sat on a bench.” “I sat on a chair.” A couch, a bench and a chair are all types of ______? Finding associations between the functions of a variety of objects helps students place them into categories.
