An Engaging Tool for Teaching Sentence Structure & Conjunction Use!

The Conjunctions – Double Dice Add-On Deck is an interactive and effective resource for helping students master the use of basic conjunctions in sentences. This tool is perfect for speech-language pathologists and educators who want to strengthen students’ grammar and sentence-combining skills in a fun, game-based format. With 54 cards and 216 prompts, this activity offers plenty of repetition and variety to support lasting learning.

How It Works:

1. Set Up the Cards – Place nine cards face down on the table.

2. Roll the Dice – The student rolls the double dice, which will land on a specific shape.

3. Turn Over the Card – The student flips the card that matches the shape.

4. Read the Prompt – The student reads (or listens as the instructor reads) the sentence or sentence pair that corresponds to the number on the inner die.

5. Respond – The student chooses and uses the correct conjunction (“and,” “but,” or “or”) to complete the sentence or combine the two given sentences.
