Donut Dilemma—What Would You Do?
Welcome to Speech Corner’s Donut Dilemma—What Would You Do? 🍩 An innovative set of language development cards designed to help students practice exploring dilemmas, considering consequences, and finding the best solutions—all while stacking donuts in a fun, interactive game!
How It Works:
Students take turns rolling the die, answering thought-provoking questions, and stacking donuts onto a wobbly saucer. Each card corresponds to one of four colorful donut types, guiding students through different aspects of problem-solving:
-
Ring Donuts: Identify the problem or dilemma.
-
Yeast Donuts: Explore how the character feels about the situation.
-
Cruller Donuts: Consider who or what might help resolve the issue.
-
Old-fashioned Donuts: Decide if the proposed solution is a good one.
The suspense builds as the tower of donuts grows—will it topple or stand tall?
Why It Stands Out:
-
Engaging Gameplay: Combines hands-on play with meaningful language development.
-
Skill-Building: Strengthens critical thinking, empathy, and decision-making skills.
-
Interactive Learning: The wobbly saucer adds a fun twist, keeping students motivated and focused.
-
Versatile Use: Perfect for speech therapy, classrooms, or small group activities.
