Clinical Tip: Connecting Play to Speech

One of the unique features of this screener is the Articulation and Connected Speech component in Book #2. Because children often have better speech clarity in single words than they do in conversation, use the My Little House pieces to bridge that gap. As the child moves the “sister” to the “swing,” you can assess their articulation of the /s/ sound in a functional, connected sentence—giving you a much more accurate picture of their “true” speech intelligibility.
