An Innovative Tool for Boosting Critical Thinking & Categorization Skills!

The Compare & Contrast – Double Dice Add-On Deck is a unique and effective tool for speech-language pathologists to help students identify similarities and differences between specific objects. By practicing these skills, students also enhance their critical thinking and categorization abilities. With 54 cards and 216 questions, this engaging activity will keep students motivated and coming back for more!

How It Works:

1. Set Up the Cards – Place nine cards face down on the table.
2. Roll the Dice – The student rolls the double dice, which will land on a specific shape.
3. Turn Over the Card – The student flips the card that matches the shape on the dice.
4. Read the Question – The student reads (or listens as the instructor reads) the sentence that corresponds to the number on the inner die.
5. Respond – The student identifies and responds with the similarities or differences between the objects featured on the card.

With 216 questions in total, students get ample practice in comparing and contrasting while reinforcing their critical thinking skills.
